Japanese to English translations

Volume 2 Chapter 1

It’s finally time.

So at last I finished chapter 1 of volume 2. There is a lot of location names or Japanese terms, which was a nightmare when making footnotes. Honestly I kinda gave up in the middle and tried to go only for the important ones, well if you want a note for some term just write it in the comments section.

Well I will drop the rest since I’m tired. The chapter might be a bit stiff in some places, but it’s hard for me to do anything about it. As with earlier chapter there will probably be ninja edits from time to time as I further refine the text. Still I didn’t finish final edits on volume 1 though ugh.

Work is tiring, if you know what’s good for you don’t go that way. You can consider yourselves warned.

Chapter is here. Our new characters page for volume 2 is ready too here.

So I have been reading up to this chapter starting from yesterday evening. I really like this project. The material is very interesting and the translation, despite having a few consistent grammatical errors, is very good as well. Thanks a bunch for translating this, keep up the good work.

    *chapter spoilers ahead*
In this chapter however, Arata lost a ton of points with me for not making sure Sophia knows he is alive. This just makes him a very bad human being in my eyes, at least in this specific case. I can just hope Sophia catches the news about the airport incident, spots him on the footage and comes to bash his skull in. He certainly deserves it for letting her believe he’s dead. Even if he didn’t want to see her again (which is strange seeing how strongly he felt when he thought about her being attacked in the camp) and did not want her to know where he was, there would have been a number of simple ways of letting her know he’s alive, well and free.
